Custom Toy Workshop
On the final day of the Esquina Norte Tijuana Design Conference, Jerry and I ran a Custom Toy Workshop. Over the course of 4 hours we walked participants through the process of custom toy design using Jamungo's Sqwert as our platform. The students amazed us with the amount of passion and enjoyment they approached their work. The gorgeous results can be seen below:
"Dualidad" by Amaranta Delgado
"Sloppy" by Claudia Castro
"Soladito Black Warrior" by Martha Garayzar
"Chaca" by Cristian A. Rodriguez Valadez
"Bloohoo" by Gerardo Najar Haro
"La Virgen Luchador" by Xtian Rosas Alvarez
"Pancho Nopal" by Josefina Aguilera Albarran

What's up man. Motomichi was a really cool dude, so I'm sure it was a great workshop. But you know, deep inside, you wanted to spend some time with the "cool" kids at the Muttpop Workshop! ;-)
cferg:
Gee...thanks!

As a custom pro yourself I'm sure you have more to say about the joys of customization than we do. :-)
We'd love to figure out some form of custom toy. We have one BRILLIANT idea (actually it's Gobi's idea)...but it'll take a bit of time to make it happen.

In the case of the Tijuana Design Conference, we did a lecture and workshop in exchange for all accommodation. Since we believed in the conference's focus on educating young Mexican artists and designers, we were all for it.
Jhoana and her Esquina Norte team have been doing this wonderful conference for 7 years now. We were very grateful to take part in it.
