Lucha Libre On Celluloid

We just signed a deal with Club Deal Films and Chamber Six to adapt the "Luchadores 5" as a live action movie. We are now one small step closer to making a "Luchadores 5" film a reality! Below you will find Muttpop Bob, Screenwriter Adrian Cruz, Jerry Frissen, Producer Pierre Spengler, and Director Michael Olmos sharing a champagne toast. Wish us luck in sharing our Lucha Libre universe with the world!

Allan I & Luvyatoo:

Thanks! We still have a ways to go...but this is a big step in making a live-action Luchadores5 film a reality. Everyone involved is a close friend and talented creator. I'm looking forward to experiencing where this leads us. :-)

Wow!!!
Are you serious?? That's awesome!!
I know it's too early for this but...
Please oh, please use as much real Luchadores as possible, I mean, of course it's better to have actors, from a performance point of view, but if you're going for authenticity then....there's a lot of old timer-luchadores that I'm sure would be willing to work on this movie!

Now if you could get Xavier Pérez Grobet and Lourdes Grobet on board to help out with the cinematography and photgraphy...that would be awesome!!

It's still a bit early...we are still in the midst of raising the money for the project...but we will try to be as authentic and respectful as possible. This project will be as much about our characters as it is about the rich culture that exists in Mexican Wrestling. An way we can integrate authenticity, we will encourage the team behind the film to do so.

Keep in mind, though, that the majority of the film will happen outside the ring. Most of the Luchadores5 fighting will happen outside the ring in the streets of East L.A. :-)

L.A. Park would be awesome to have around! And Mascara Sagrada perhaps?
Oh I got it, Brazo de Oro as El Gladiator,
Super Porky as Dr. Panthera
Octagon as King Karateka
MIl Mascaras or L.A. Park as Diablo Loco
And as Red Demon....Blue Demon! (or not, maybe somebody skinnier I guess...)
