Fantomas
The best villain in French pop culture is for sure Fantomas. Especially in the three André Hunebelle's movies. The look of the character was pure genius. The actor behind the mask was Jean Marais. A few weeks ago, Gobi did a nice piece of art of Fantomas.

wow i didnt know about fantomas movies, here in mexico athere was a comic for many years about fantomas, for many years i think he was a invented by mexicans, but not so many years i realize fantomas are french.
